Premature Ovarian Failure (Early Menopause) and Bone Health

Early menopause is often characterised by the cessation of ovarian function before the age of 45. Early hypoestrogenism has a profound effect on many organ systems including bone, with an increased risk of osteoporosis. 

In this course, Dr de Villiers will review the characteristics of early menopause, the diagnosis and its clinical consequences concentrating on bone health. He will explore strategies to reduce fracture risk.
