IOF Musculoskeletal Rare Diseases Training Course
The IOF Skeletal Rare Disorders Training Course: From Diagnosis to Care was held in Prague, Czech Republic in April 2026 as a one-day educational event for clinicians seeking to deepen their understanding of musculoskeletal rare diseases (MSRDs) and their management.
Designed to bridge the latest scientific advances with practical clinical guidance, the course offers a valuable opportunity to learn from leading international experts in rare skeletal diseases. Through a structured, disorder-specific programme, participants gain insight into the lifelong impact of these conditions, as well as the complexities of diagnosis, management, and patient care.
The programme covers major rare skeletal and metabolic bone diseases, with dedicated sessions addressing disease burden, genotype–phenotype complexity, and key clinical manifestations and management strategies. It also includes a review of current guidelines for X-linked hypophosphataemia (XLH), hypophosphatasia (HPP), and fibrous dysplasia/McCune–Albright syndrome.
